120 days prior to the journey date. You have to
buy ticket exactly on the opening date for those peak days ie. during Pujas, Eid, various celebration, school holidays etc. when there is rush. Now IRCTC allowed to buy tickets 120 days before the
journey date. It is impossible for us to calculate the exact opening date calculating 120 days back ( There always be some exceptionally talented people ) .

2. You can try bye ticket for the first booking date at 12:30 am ( Night ) : It will start to book for the first or start day ( 120 days prior to journey ) at 8:00 AM in the morning , but of the next day , any day within 119 days you may book at night time also.
